Every night, Grid Getter reads your last 30 days and tells you what it found.
Short findings about your battery, your solar and your rate plan. Each one shows its evidence and links to the setting it's about.
Four things on every card
- Category
Demand, Battery, Solar or Rate plan. The same groups as the Insights page.
- Estimate tag
Any number we simulated is marked. It is a reading of your last 30 days, not a promise.
- Evidence
How many days the finding is based on, so you can judge it yourself.
- Link to the setting
Opens the setting it is about. Nothing changes until you save.
Grouped the way the app groups them
Demand
For rate plans with a demand charge
DemandGuard backtest
Your billed peak against the lowest your battery could have held over the last 30 days.
Starts low
The battery begins the DemandGuard window below full, so it can't hold the peak as low.
Floor too high
The Demand Floor keeps back most of the battery DemandGuard needs.
Battery
How the battery spends peak
Under half full at peak
Days the battery started peak below 50%.
Charge left at peak
The battery had charge to spare, and you still bought power at peak prices.
Solar
Where your solar went
Export gap
Solar sold to the grid cheap, then bought back at peak.
Later full-by time
Solar keeps filling the battery into peak, so a later Battery full by time saves grid charging.
Rate plan
Changes to your rates
Season change
Your peak hours or peak price change soon. Check your automations against the new times.
14-day and day-before alerts
A notification and an email two weeks ahead, and again the day before, at 10 AM your time. Hiding the card doesn't stop the day-before reminder.
Battery, solar and rate-season cards are free
Free accounts get them too, including the rate-season reminders 14 days and one day before your rates change. Free accounts also get an estimate of what DemandGuard could have held your peak to. The DemandGuard backtest, which measures your own DemandGuard against your last 30 days every night, comes with Adaptive.

Nothing changes on its own
An insight is a reading, not an action. The link opens the setting; you decide whether to save.
Insights are in beta
We're still tuning thresholds. Any number we simulated is tagged Estimate.
See something wrong?
Tap Beta on any Insights heading, then Report a problem. It sends us a bug report with a screenshot of the page.
Hide what you don't need
Hide a card for 30 or 90 days. It comes back only if it still applies.
About Insights
What are Insights, and are they free?
Findings from a nightly read of your last 30 days, each with its evidence and a link to the setting. The battery, solar and rate season cards are free, and the battery and solar cards are checked weekly. Adaptive adds the DemandGuard backtest.
Will an insight change my settings?
No. It links to the setting. Nothing changes until you save.
How accurate are the estimates?
They replay your own last 30 days, so they're as good as that data and your rate plan. Dollar figures are an upper bound, written as up to an amount a month with ideal control. Low-confidence cards drop dollar figures and say so.
Why am I not seeing any?
Cards only appear when there's something worth saying, usually a pattern on at least 10 of your last 30 peak days. New accounts need some history first.
